TOURNAMENT SQUADS & REPRESENTATION

At JCF Academy, tournaments are an important part of our player development pathway. Throughout the season, we provide players with opportunities to compete against strong opposition, experience different environments and represent the academy at some of the biggest tournaments on the football calendar.

Our Full-Time Program players receive first priority for tournament squad selection. Their consistent commitment to the Academy, regular training environment and ongoing development gives them the first opportunity to be selected for our tournament teams.

For every tournament we enter, JCF Academy aims to field two teams per age group, creating greater opportunities for players within our program while maintaining a competitive environment.

Selection is based on more than simply being a registered player. Performance, attitude, training standards, development, commitment and suitability for the tournament are all considered when squads are selected.

JCF Academy also provides opportunities that players may not receive through their regular club season.

We participate in exclusive academy tournaments as well as major tournaments throughout pre-season and post-season, giving our players additional competitive football outside of their normal club commitments.

This is particularly valuable when a player's regular club may not enter a particular tournament, has limited squad places, or finishes their season earlier. Through JCF Academy, players can continue competing, gaining experience and testing themselves against different teams and players.



Our tournament program can also provide opportunities for players from different clubs within our Academy environment to come together, allowing us to create competitive squads while giving players exposure to new teammates, coaches, opponents and footballing environments.
